~ Washington Crossing Interior Plaster Repair ~
Mahlon Taylor House
Circa 1817
This house has a prominent place in our history and in our hearts.
The Federal-style Mahlon K. Taylor House in Washington Crossing, Pennsylvania, was built in 1819-1817. It was constructed for local merchant and town founder Mahlon Kirkbride Taylor.
This 3 story historic preservation was completed during Winter - Spring 2026.
Each of these 3 stories needed various amount of repair. From heavily water damaged plaster, rotten wood, and decades of band-aid repairs, this house needed some TLC.
We used period techniques and materials to give this property the care and attention it deserves. It was an honor to be awarded this job and a delight to work with the Friends of Washington Crossing as we tackled this monumental task of preserving and stewarding this great house for the generations to come.
