These piers have seen a lot of history...
This 1850’s pre Civil War era porch needed some love and attention. The mortar has completely deteriorated, and some groundhogs had collapsed some of them as well. We took them apart carefully, and rebuilt them from the ground up!
While we were at it...
We also repointed the foundation which had a fair amount of mortar missing and other areas having been patched over the years just looked haphazard. A dark spot in the old mortar also revealed that this pipe had been leaking for some time as well. Let’s update that!
